Preservative-free strawberry jam and syrup - a simple recipe with sure success!

It should not be boiled for a long time, it keeps its color well and moderately sweet!

A recipe that will delight lovers of these fragrant and sweet fruits! How can you prepare a delicious and dense strawberry jam for the winter? The fresh strawberry jam, prepared according to this recipe, has a thick texture, but it is not very sweet. In addition, it should not be boiled for a long time.

INGREDIENT:

You will get 2 liters of jam and 1.25 liters of strawberry syrup.

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. Wash the fresh strawberries very well, removing the stalks. Put them in a strainer so that the water drains from them.

2.Place the strawberries in layers in a saucepan, sprinkling them with sugar (we do this step in 3 steps). After sprinkling the sugar, shake the pan so that it spreads evenly on the surface of the fruit.

3. Allow the sugar-covered fruit to rest for 10 hours at room temperature. If you want to leave them longer, you can put them in the fridge and take them out at room temperature 60 minutes before boiling. In the meantime, shake the bowl with the fruit several times, without stirring.

Strawberries will release a lot of juice. We used the fruit for the preparation of the jam, and the juice - for the preparation of the syrup.

4. Drain the juice formed in a separate bowl and pass the strawberries with the blender. On the bottom of the pan will remain undissolved sugar: you need to add it to the mashed strawberries.

5. Put the pan with the mashed strawberries on a moderate heat. Stirring, bring the contents to the boil, then boil for 20 minutes. The jam must be stirred constantly so that it does not burn.

6. Transfer the hot jam into sterilized jars, sealing them with sterilized lids. Turn the jars with the lids down and wrap them in a warm blanket until they cool completely.

The delicious, dense, moderately sweet and vitamin-rich jam is ready! Given that it is not cooked for a long time, it retains its color well.

7. Prepare the syrup from the strawberry juice. The juice is quite sweet. Therefore, you only need to add 1/3 teaspoon of lemon salt to it. Then bring it to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Transfer it to sterilized bottles or jars, sealing them tightly.

The delicious, transparent, aromatic and natural syrup is ready!

And here's how I got 2 liters of tasty, dense, fragrant jam and 1.25 liters of wonderful strawberry syrup. If you want, you can add the juice of a medium lemon in the jam: then its shade will be even lighter, and the taste will get a sour note. Thus, it will maintain its intense color and aroma throughout the winter.

Ingredients for this cold syrup:

Simple & tasty syrup

I washed the strawberries well and then cleaned and cut them. I also had help, because the little girl was glued to the strawberry bowl. One in the bowl, one in the mouth. Until he filled up and then decided that he supported me morally and with words of encouragement & # 8211 in translation, he kept talking to me until I finished the job:)))

In a tall bowl I put the chopped strawberries and then I put the sugar over them. I mixed well and left them alone for 12 hours. From time to time I mixed them lightly in them, so that the sugar melted well.

After 12 hours I started to separate the ingredients. I mean, I strained the strawberries and I was left with the cold strawberry syrup I wanted.

I added lemon juice over the syrup, mixed well and then bottled. About 2.5 liters of delicious syrup came out!

I chose not to boil the syrup, so that I could better observe how it is stored over time. Just like I did with the shock flower syrup.

However, you can choose to boil this syrup before putting it in bottles, so that you have a greater safety on the storage side over time.

What will I use it for?

If the other syrups made are largely dedicated to teas or soft drinks - how did I do this? lemonade with shock syrup, this strawberry syrup is entirely dedicated to the desserts I will make.

It will go great with syrup biscuits for a simple dessert with cream and sour cream. Or syrup the top for the roll with cream and strawberries. Or for a flavored ice cream.

I will come back with an update to this article as time goes on and I notice how well the syrup is kept in bottles!
